Cockatoo Hill Retreat is located mid-way between Cape Tribulation and Port Douglas. The property comprises 4 thatch-roof Tree Houses and a traditional Balinese style pavilion. Crafted from local timbers theres a snake bar created from 142 individual cuts of rosewood Mahogony. A cascading waterfall is an intricate part of the freshwater wet-edge swimming pool - complete with pool bar for those warm, tropical balmy evenings.

The Retreat:
Perfectly positioned in the midst of the rainforest, you are mid-way between Cape Tribulation and civilisation in Port Douglas. Crossing the Daintree River by car-ferry is like stepping back in time your days can be spent beach-combing drift wood, or wandering naked along a deserted tropical beach. Combine your holiday with beach-life, rainforest emersion, swimming, reading and relaxing. When said and done, take a charter boat and go dive the Great Barrier Reef

This property is part of the Daintree. You might expect Dr. Livingstone to reside here or Noel Coward to extract inspiration from the surrounds.
